Steve Carell's big break probably came in his two roles in Bruce Almighty, and its sequal, Evan Almighty. After the release of Bruce Almighty, Steve's career zoomed off into other roles such as Brick Tamland in Anchorman and lead role as Andy Stitzer in the 40 year old Virgin.

Carell was born Steven John Carell on August 16, 1962 in Concord, Mass. Carell attended two private schools in Mass. before finally attending Chicago's Second City troupe for acting. Making his acting debut in Curly Sue, Carells career began moderatly with performances on The Daily Show and The Dana Carvey Show. Then, in 2003, Carell's fame shot sky-high as he was casted into Bruce Almighty and then into many other signifcant roles. In 2006, he was awarded a Golden Globe for Best Actor in Television Comedy for the leading role of Michael Scott. Carell currently resides in Los Angeles with his wife, Nancy Carell, and his two children, Elisabeth and John.
